Whooos, whirrrs, thicks, and thocks in our one-bedroom flat 🏮
The dim red wavy textured light from our night lamp and the whooos and whirrrs of our window-type air conditioner fill most of our bedroom's ambience.
Other than that and the occasional passing vehicles, our room is pretty quiet at night.
Hence, I've completely ignored the idea of using my Anne Pro mechanical keyboard and my wireless mouse for now.
We live in a 1-bedroom flat.
It's loud and thocky, and the mouse is clicky.
I do enjoy the ASMR-ish distraction that it brings when I'm doing some writing or working, but it also somehow piques my son's interest the moment he hears any of those clicks and thocks.

And sometimes that interest is piqued around 3 AM. 👁️👄👁️
Don't get me wrong; I love spending time with my toddler, but just not that much yet in front of a monitor.
Admittedly, he's probably been exposed to it enough for him to mimic my actions to a certain degree of accuracy.
He'd stand in front of my laptop on my makeshift floor desk and use the keyboard and mouse like he's really getting some work done.
It's just the perfect height for him as a standing desk lol.
I'm still using an X260 ThinkPad with a 32GB overkill RAM upgrade.
This laptop has been with me for years now. It even outlasted my PC.
This isn't a laptop review, but boy, this hunk of a machine can even survive a toddler (he's more gentle than most toddlers tho).
The built-in backlit keyboard is also very comfy to use that I can forgive myself for not really using my mechanical keys.
I've never really needed any other machine for work at all.
But I am slightly entertaining the idea of using a standing desk, even if I think a squatting/floor desk is equally as healthy if not a healthier choice. 👀
