Gray clouds, warm lights, and corned beef sizzling in the pan 🍳

The clouds have been quite gray lately, and indoor temperature reaches 25°C from midnight to dawn.

And the humming sound of the air conditioner stops every time it hits room temp.

This might not sound cool enough to some of you, but to someone living in the tropics, it can be—mostly just for my wife and me. 🌴

Our toddler, Kai, doesn't really care much about it tho. He might even prefer that we even lower the temp lol. 🥶

But hey, blend it with some flickering warm lights, the smell of cinnamon, cuddles, and the sound of sizzling oil in the background, and it can be just the perfect kind of warm.

I'm describing all of this to you so I can ease you into the idea of re-vibing—the art of bringing back to life the vibe of your space to create an ambience that you'd prefer or can only have during certain scenarios that could've been less ideal.

Like a cup of hot cocoa or warm hugs and cuddles during a cold, rainy weather. You wouldn't really like more than a brief amount of any of those during the hottest summer days, would you?

Re-vibing is just a rebranding of taking control of things that you can, but with a hint of kilig or similar feelings.

I just like the sound of it, as it makes it feel like I'm bringing something back to life.

But all in all, it's just a play on perspective.

Vibes aren't fixed; whatever the default vibe is when you entered the room, you can do something about it.

I know this might sound quite obvious to some of you, but for someone who just discovered that a vibe is re-vibe-able, I can't help but want to share it with you.

Because now, my mind is honing in and actively looking for scenarios on how I can re-vibe what's happening—from wanting to cook fried eggs and corned beef for the sizzle to giving out random hugs.

And the key is not looking to fix things but rather doing these things even when the ambience is average, okay, or even good—so you can uplift it into higher levels of vibes.

Re-vibing, unlike reviving, I think works better and more effortlessly when it's elevating the ambience rather than trying to bring it back from the river Styx.

Maybe it's more up-vibing than re-vibing, but it doesn't really ring as well to my ears. 🤷

So light a candle. Frame an artwork. Make a cup of coffee or tea.

Your vibe may be your responsibility, but I guess we all need a lil nudge to get there.
